Senior Sweater Design with International Resume!

Our client is one of the leading fashion design and marketing studios in the world. It designs and markets women’s and men’s designer collection apparel and a range of other products.
 
They are currently looking for a Senior Sweater Designer with an international resume. Our client is willing to pay relocation and Visa sponsorship!!
 
Responsibilities: 

• Design and development of knits and sweaters collections
• Design management from conception to follow through.
• In conjunction with Design Director, develop proposals of colors and yarns.
• Researches concepts, materials and color trends.
• Travels to trade shows to observe new trends and materials.
• Ensures timely development of line by adhering to time and action calendar. 
• Communicates technical design information to product development staff.

Qualifications:

• Seven plus years of experience
• Must have worked for an international luxury brand (like Armani, Burberry, Akris, Prada, etc.)
• Possess strong knowledge of knitting techniques as well as competency in using hand frame and computerized knitting machines.
• Be proficient in foundations and techniques of hand knitting and crochet methods and in manipulating woven sewing machines to complete techniques for knits.
• Ability to research and create new approaches and methods to the technique of knitting.
