Technical Support Engineer Needed

Our client is seeking a Technical Support Engineer with preferable telcom background of 3-5 years.  All applicants must be bilingual in Spanish and English and willing to travel!
 
Responsibilities:
 

  • Provide second/third level technical support to partners supporting carriers or enterprise organizations
  • Apply analytical skills and technical knowledge to solve product and network problems of moderate to high complexity
  • Perform as a technical expert and provide world-wide support
  • Interface with 3rd Tier Technical Support, Engineering, Product Management, and other departments to address customer’s issues in the most effective manner
  • Participate in the process of product improvement
  • Present technical materials to co-workers and customers
  • Submit complete and accurate ‘bug reports’

 
Qualifications:

  • Must be fluent in SPANISH AND ENGLISH
  • 2-5 years experience in technical support, R&D or system integration
  • Knowledgeable of IP and Telephony networks (technology, design, installation, troubleshooting, test equipment usage, etc.)
  • Familiarity with installation and operation of Unix and/or Linux based systems is an advantage
  • Prior customer-facing experience in an international environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong phone presence
  • Must possess remarkable interpersonal skills and well-able to work autonomously and as a team player
  • International travel is required for initial training period

 
Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field
