Web Programmer

Our client is a funded Startup, using rich internet applications to create an easy and understandable way for everyone to interact with financial information and engage in investing and trading. They are currently looking to hire an experienced Web Programmer.

Responsibilities of Web Programmer:

• Front-end development of our website in JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, HTML 5, CSS and CSS3
• Providing support to our marketing team by developing and maintaining email templates, promotional banners, blog and Home Page
• Support coding and analysis of databases for tracking traffic data
• Creating and maintaining highly interactive web based tutorials that teach users how to use the site and the investing ideas lists/tools available
• Integrating APIs from 3rd parties such as Twitter and Facebook
• Creating and maintaining CRM using Salesforce.com for managing internal data

Qualifications of Web Programmer:

• 1-3 years of experience as a Software Developer in a Software/Internet company
• Expert with front end web development: JavaScript/Jquery/HTML/ HTML 5/CSS/CSS3
• Strong programming capabilities in at least TWO of the following: C, C++, Java, Python, Ruby, Groovy, JavaScript, PHP 
• Experience with at least ONE web framework MVC such as the following: Ruby on Rails, Grails, Spring, .Net
• Experience with at least ONE application server: Tomcat, WebSphere, JBoss, Weblogic
• Flexible, can work on front-end as well as back-end integration
• Works well in a fast-paced creative start-up environment
• Ability to interact with diverse groups of technical and non-technical people
• Effective use of reading, writing, oral communications skills
• Knowledge of Finance and the equity market a plus
• Acute sense for design and knowledge with the Adobe suite (Photoshop +Illustrator) a plus

Education Requirements of Web Programmer:

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or other related field
• Graduate degree strongly preferred but not essential for the right candidate
