Womens Ready to Wear Buyer

Our client is a luxury fashion retailer that first opened in New York City in 1996, pioneering the “one stop shopping in your ‘ultimate closet’ concept.” Merchandised by item, color, classification and trend, they offer a unique shopping experience for the ‘time deprived’ consumer. They offer contagious energy partnered with phenomenal customer service!

They are currently seeking a Women's Ready-to-Wear Buyer to join their team immediately!

Responsibilities

• Managing the Open to Buy of assigned departments and ensuring financial targets and plans are met.
• Building and maintaining vendor relationships.
• Building an assortment that fits the customer.
• Identify opportunities to maximize sales and drive the process to meet financial goals.
• Working closely with Planning, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Design, and Store Staff to ensure the maximization of sales.
• Maintaining expert knowledge of the industry through store visits, competitive analysis and current trends.
• Will manage one direct report/assistant buyer
• Has existing relationships in the luxury market

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years retail buying experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Strong communication, presentation, and computer (Word, Excel) skills
• Flexible to meet deadlines, and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Product development experience a plus
