Analytical Chemist
Immediate temporary and direct hire positions for Analytical Chemists in a pharmaceutical research environment. Locations in Northern and Central New Jersey. Duties and Responsiblities include but are not limited to: Method development and validation; Experience writing validation reports; Performing QA assays; Assisting in validation of QC assays; Compile, analyze and document chromatographic data; Perform routine/non-routine data analysis calculations; Experience using HPLC instruments (HP and/or Waters) with Turbochrome; ChemStation, Millennium data acquisition systems; Experience performing analysis by FTIR and water determinations by KF, Knowledge of GC, GC/MS, NMR and LC/MS; Ability to produce quality work with minimal supervision in a QC-like environment; Working knowledge of FDA, USP, SOP, GMP and GLP. Experience Required: BS/MS Degree in Chemistry or related discipline. Relevant Pharmaceutical Industrial experience: 2+ years.
Clinical Research Associate
Independently monitors one or more clinical investigations, including initiating and closing investigational centers and collecting, processing and reviewing case report forms. Under supervision, assists with the overall planning, development, and data management of one or more clinical investigations, including the preparation, writing, and completion of required documents. Assists with the training and supervision of subordinate staff. Assists in the preparation of IND, BLA, or NDA documents, or special projects as assigned. Has an understanding of regulation, guidelines, policies and practices for conducting clinical investigations. Experience required: Two to three years of progressively increasing clinical research experience within the pharmaceutical industry. Experience in drug development, especially Food and Drug Administrations regulations and Good Clinical Practices or Associates of Clinical Pharmacology CRA certification. A minimum academic degree in Nursing (R.N. or B.S.N.), Life Sciences (B.S. or B.A.), Pharmacy or Medicine. Experience requirements may be less with advanced degrees. Ability to resolve and make judgments regarding administrative, a scientific and or clinical problems with minimal supervision. Ability to prepare summary reports and deliver presentations, which are, clear, focused, and concise. Ability to indirectly supervise subordinate staff personnel.
Cosmetic/Fragrance Chemist
Fortune 500 cosmetic company seeks immediate long-term temporary and direct-hire chemist and lab tech with skills such as batch-making of emulsions, surfactants, oils, shade matching of powders, stability testing, filling of samples for testing, obtaining raw ingredients and general lab maintenance. Experience Required: All relative bench skills including batch-making, use of equipment such as mixers, mills, pH meters, Brookfield viscometers and pincnometers. Knowledge of safe lab practices, general chemistry principles, and familiar with all lab procedures. BS Degree. Computer skills required. Company is commutable from Northern NJ and New York.
Manufacturing Operator
We have several temporary to permanent openings for all levels of Manufacturing Operators in the Central NJ area. Main responsibility will be to perform duties in an assigned area within the production facility to produce biopharmaceutical bulk products. Duties would include: cleaning, weighing and mixing, and process monitoring. Equipment operated includes: bioreactors, filtration devices, chromatography equipment, ultrafilters, washers and autoclaves. Candidate would be trained in one of three areas: fermentation, purification and support services. Position would involve: Set-up and sterilization of components and process equipment, monitoring and adjusting equipment operations, sample processes and perform routine assays and record data, log activities, and monitor processes. Experience required: BA/BS in Biology, Chemistry, or related discipline, or equivalent experience. Need to demonstrate a knowledge and experience in aseptic processing techniques. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must have good manual dexterity and demonstrated mechanical aptitude. Complies with cGMP requirements. Excellent salary.
Research Scientist
Responsible for research and/or development in collaboration with others for projects in combinatorial, medicinal and/or organic chemistry. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of various factors. Applies chemical synthesis techniques to analyze or develop new drug candidates. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Experience required: B.Sc. degree in chemistry or related field, generally 5 years or more of industrial experience in major pharmaceutical or biotechnological enterprise. Demonstrated working knowledge of scientific principles, track records (patents, publications, presentations, etc.) in a relevant field. Understanding of chemical and biological issues involved in the drug discovery process (including SAR and general PKDM, etc.) Proficiency in using modern spectroscopic techniques including high-field multiprobe NMR, HPLC, LCMS, and GCMS. Good knowledge of principles of modern synthetic chemistry, experience in parallel organic synthesis is desirable.
