Tax Accountant

Our client is a well-established local CPA firm seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team for the upcoming tax season.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$90k – $100k

Position Overview:

The Tax Accountant will join an existing team to support tax season in early 2026, with a strong focus on preparing personal and business tax returns for small business clients.

Responsibilities of the Tax Accountant:

• Prepare tax returns for a variety of clients.
• Focus on individual and small business tax returns.
• Process 1040, 1065, and 1120 tax filings.
• Perform reconciliations and additional tax-related reporting.

Required Experience/Skills for the Tax Accountant:

• 6+ years of prior public accounting and tax experience.
• 6+ years of tax preparation experience.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred.
• Knowledge of UltraTax preferred.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Tax Accountant:

• Experience working with small business clients.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
