Our client, a growing and well-established New York City organization, is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their collaborative Finance team. This company operates across multiple business lines, valuing data-driven decision-making and strategic insight. The Financial Analyst will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to support key business initiatives.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$80k – $120k Annually
Position Overview:
The Financial Analyst will support financial planning, analysis, and reporting across the organization. This Financial Analyst role is highly visible and will partner with department leaders to provide insights that drive performance and strategic growth.
Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst:
- Partner with department leaders to analyze financial results, budgets, and forecasts.
- Build and maintain financial models to support planning and business initiatives.
- Analyze KPIs, margin trends, and operational performance drivers.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for senior leadership.
- Perform variance analysis, cash flow forecasting, and capital expenditure analysis.
- Support annual budgeting and long-range planning processes.
- Collaborate with Accounting during the month-end close to ensure accurate reporting.
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis projects as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Financial Analyst:
- 3 – 6 years of experience in a Financial Analyst or FP&A capacity.
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Financial Analyst:
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
- Exposure to budgeting systems (Adaptive, Anaplan, or similar).
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
