Our client is a research driven organization that provides laboratory testing and analytical support for consumer products. The company works with a variety of clients to evaluate product performance and support data driven claims through scientific testing. They are currently seeking to add a Laboratory Technician to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$22/hr
Position Overview:
The Laboratory Technician will support laboratory testing activities by performing chemical and physical analyses using a range of analytical techniques. This role contributes to testing accuracy, method development, and data reporting while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal Laboratory Technician is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and comfortable working in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Responsibilities of the Laboratory Technician:
- Operate analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, and other laboratory equipment.
- Conduct stability, pH, viscosity, and color testing on products.
- Collect, document, and report experimental data in accordance with established procedures.
- Support method development, optimization, and validation efforts.
- Follow laboratory safety guidelines and quality standards at all times.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and assist with calibration and upkeep.
Required Experience/Skill for the Laboratory Technician:
- Hands-on experience with analytical laboratory techniques including HPLC and GC.
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety and quality practices.
- Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment.
- Exposure to method development or validation activities.
- Prior experience supporting product testing or analytical research.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Laboratory Technician:
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a laboratory setting.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
