Our client, a family-owned and well-established service provider with a long history of quality service, is looking to hire a Technician. They work with clients in the aerospace, defense, automotive, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries. They are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to grow a career in the service field as a Technician.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$20/hr
Position Overview:
In this role as the Technician, you will help test and adjust equipment like furnaces, ovens, and environmental chambers to make sure they work accurately. Most of your work as a Technician will take place at customer sites, so daily travel is a normal part of the job. The hours for this role are 6:30 am – 3:30 pm. The Technician is a great role for someone who likes hands-on work, enjoys learning, and is looking for a long-term career.
Responsibilities of the Technician:
- Perform calibration and testing on equipment with minimal supervision after training, following procedures and work instructions accurately.
- Follow step-by-step instructions and read basic technical diagrams.
- Take care of tools and equipment and help with simple repairs.
- Provide friendly, professional service to customers.
- Stay organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.
- Communicate clearly with teammates and customers.
- Work both independently and with a team.
Required Experience/Skills for the Technician:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required to drive to job sites with mileage reimbursement.
- Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn and be trainable.
- Ability to lift at least 30 pounds unassisted and stand for extended periods.
- Must pass drug-free testing due to customer government contract requirements.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Technician:
- Previous experience as a Technician is a plus!
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
