Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$23/hr – $27/hr

Position overview:

The individual in this role will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in-office in New York City.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Associate:

  • Perform accounts payable and receivable duties
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the general ledger
  • Prepare financial statements and reports
  • Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
  • Participate in the month-end and year-end closing process
  • Collaborate with the rest of the Accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications for the Accounting Associate:

  • 1 – 2 years of experience in an accounting role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Must be able to work 3 days in-office in New York city

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
