Our client is a growing real estate organization in the greater Boston area, and they are looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. If you have previous property accounting experience, then this is the position for you!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$120k – $140k

Position Overiew:

The Accounting Manager will oversee related property accounting transactions.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:

  • Oversee financial statement reviews, budgets, and supporting work papers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Maintain accounting processes and ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
  • Manage debt compliance as an Accounting Manager.
  • Support SOX compliance.
  • Lead and manage accounting staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and workload distribution.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Accounting and Property Management teams to optimize financial operations.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:

  • 5+ years of property accounting experience required.
  • Management experience with direct reports required.
  • Ability to build relationships.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem solve.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:

  • CPA preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, or related field..
