Accounts Payable Analyst

Our client is a freight forwarding company based out of New Jersey and is looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst to join their Accounting Team. This company is rapidly growing and looking for an individual who is motivated and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$21 – $25/hr Dependent on experience

Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable Analyst will be responsible for the financial processing of transactions for an organization. This role will require an individual to be compliant with financial policies and procedures completing high volume invoices in a timely and accurate manner. The Accounts Payable Analyst will also have the duties in researching and resolving accounts payable or accounts receivable issues with customers as well as vendors.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Analyst:

• Matching, batching, coding, and entering invoices
• Computing, posting and reconciling batches
• Updating and reconciling sub-ledger to the general ledger
• Processing accounts and incoming payments according to financial procedures
• Monthly journal entries
• Preparing bank deposits, bills, and invoices

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Analyst:

• 1 to 2 years of experience in Accounting is required
• Exhibit communication skills
• Experience with using QuickBooks or other accounting systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Excellent time management skills

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred
