Our client, an amazing Real Estate Investment Company currently seeking a Accounts Payable Specialist. Located in Sandy Springs. Looking for a AP Specialist with 4-5 years of experience.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$50,000 – $55,000

Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable Specialist will perform crucial job duties that ensure vendors get paid for services and products rendered. The Accounts Payable Specialist will review and process invoices, audit credit card bills, answer vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, process, and maintain 1099 statements, and process and distribute checks.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

  • Upload invoices to Nexus for corporate and properties, code for general ledger, and assign appropriate approval workflow
  • Clear out open/new invoices and exception queue daily
  • Follow-up and address any outstanding items
  • Push invoices to MRI with no or minimum errors
  • Communicate with the Property Administrator Supervisor regarding all property invoice allocations to ensure timely processing
  • Review reports and investigate past due or over payment on accounts, primarily with invoices of large institutions that have several accounts
  • Upload cleared check files to Nexus
  • Transfer and process accounts payable files for general ledger in MRI
  • Issue checks and process JP Morgan card payments and ACH payments
  • Process expense reports for payroll
  • Issue annual 1099 statements
  • Complete W-9 requests, acquire signatures and distribute
  • Process VendorConnect authorization requests
  • Research tenant checks sent to corporate and determine appropriate lockbox
  • Run audit reports and other ad hoc reports as requested

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

  • Accounts payable experience required
  • Experience working in MRI and Nexus preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent phone, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter, self-disciplined, and highly organized
  • Must have strong work ethic, be team-oriented and highly dependable
  • Highly self-motivated with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Working knowledge of PC operating systems; Windows Server 2003 and Citrix
  • Routine physical presence is required at the office to provide general support and meet service needs of vendors and staff

Education Requirements:

  • Two-year college degree is required, four-year is preferred
