Our client, a corporate commercial real estate company is searching for highly-organized, upbeat and professional Accounts Payable Specialist. The company is located in Sandy Springs and offers amazing benefits.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$50,000 – $55,000

Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable Specialist will perform crucial job duties that ensure vendors get paid for services and products rendered. The Accounts Payable Specialist will review and process invoices, audit credit card bills, answer vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, process, and maintain 1099 statements, and process and distribute checks.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

  • Upload invoices to Nexus for corporate and properties, code for general ledger, and assign appropriate approval workflow
  • Clear out open/new invoice and exception queue daily, follow-up and address any outstanding items
  • Transfer and process accounts payable files for general ledger in MRI
  • Issue checks and process JP Morgan card payments and ACH payments
  • Research tenant checks sent to corporate and determine appropriate lockbox
  • Run audit reports and other ad hoc reports as requested

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience, real estate accounting preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with MRI and Nexus a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization and analytical skills
  • Strong in both written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and in teams to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Travel is minimal (less than 5%)

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent experience is required
