Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client, a Cyber Security company is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join the accounting team!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$27 – $30/hr

Position Overview:

In the Accounts Payable Specialist role, you will be reporting to the Accounting Manager. This company is seeking a Accounts Payable Specialist with prior Accounts Payable knowledge and is also willing to grow and learn within a new team.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Book expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries
• Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
• Reports sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
• Ad-hoc accounting projects and reports

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• 2+ years as an AP Specialist
• Strong computer skills
• Proficiency in Excel is a MUST
• Must have ability to multi-task / handle multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently
• Being able to work under pressure

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
