Our client, a national real estate organization, is looking to add an Accounts Payable Specialist to their growing team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$50,000 – $60,000

Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable Specialist with be responsible for all AP duties for multiple companies and properties. The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist is a self-starter, punctual, organized, and can communicate with a variety of people inside and outside the organization. The focus of this role will be on paying invoices and processing/filing 1099’s.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely payments
  • Coordinate with various accountants to ensure that all invoices are coded properly and paid in a timely manner
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled check runs
  • Cutting of checks for Corporate entities, Property Management, Construction and Family office on a weekly basis (approx. 200 – 300 checks per week)
  • Record all automatic payments as manual checks in Yardi
  • Perform distributions to property owners quarterly
  • Review expense reports on a bi-weekly basis
  • Scan, upload and input various invoices into Yardi system
  • Facilitate and complete the 1099 process annually
  • Daily and weekly reporting of cash balances to owners and CFO
  • Adhere to company polices and procedures
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

  • 2+ years of Accounts Payable or related experience
  • Experience with MS Office Suite required, Yardi Voyager experience preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with established company policies

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
