Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client, a private equity company, is looking to add an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to their team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be part of a rapidly growing international organization.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$24/hr – $27/hr

Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for a high volume invoices (200-300 daily). The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist will have prior experience with complex coding and allocations.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

  • Monitor AP ticketing system for any internal or external inquiries and reply in an efficient manner
  • Input all invoices into Workday within 24 hours of receiving
  • Code a high volume of invoices accurately
  • Communicate with other departments/team members to obtain the proper approvals/allocations to process an invoice
  • Review various expense reports for receipts and ensure they are compliant with company policies and procedures
  • Correspond with suppliers about past-due invoices or account reconciliations when needed
  • Onboard new suppliers and vendors
  • Proactively investigate and resolve issues as needed
  • Working on ad-hoc projects assigned

Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

  • 1 – 2 years accounts payable experience is preferred
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, organize efficiently and meet established deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Workday Financials experience is preferred

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
