Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client is a supply chain and logistics company based out of New Jersey and is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their Accounting team. This is a very reputable company looking to improve their Accounting team with a hardworking Accounts Payable Specialist.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$26/hr – $30/hr DOE

Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the financial processing of transactions for the organization. This role will require an individual to be compliant with financial policies and procedures completing high-volume invoices in a timely and accurate manner. The Accounts Payable Specialist will also have the duties in researching and resolving accounts payable or accounts receivable issues with customers as well as vendors.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• Matching, batching, coding, and entering invoices
• Computing, posting, and reconciling batches
• Updating and reconciling the sub-ledger to the general ledger
• Processing accounts and incoming payments according to financial procedures
• Monthly journal entries
• Preparing bank deposits, bills, and invoices

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• 1 – 2 years of experience in accounting is required
• Exhibit communication skills
• Experience with using QuickBooks or other accounting systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent time-management skills

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
