Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join the team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$24/hr – $26/hr

Position Overview:

The Accounts Receivable Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing the accounts receivable process, including invoice preparation and mailing, following-up on outstanding receivables, and reconciliation of customer accounts among other duties. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or a related field, as well as a strong understanding of accounting principles. This is a full-time position based in the New York City office.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Coordinator:

  • Communicating with customers to resolve billing issues and obtaining payment on past-due accounts
  • Recording and posting all cash receipts
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes, as needed
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of customer invoices and payments
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable transactions
  • Generating reports on accounts receivable status and aging
  • Assisting with special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications for the Accounts Receivable Coordinator:

  • 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or a related field
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential information with discretion

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
