Analytical Chemist

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$20 – $25/hr

Position Overview:

This Analytical Chemist position is a contract to hire position in R&D focused on method development. An experienced scientist is needed for development, validation and transfer of analytical test methods for the HPLC and GC. The Analytical Chemist will be a multi-tasker who is independently motivated.

Responsibilities of the Analytical Chemist:

• Develop, validate and transfer analytical test methods for the HPLC and GC in an R&D setting
• Operation and basic maintenance of lab equipment
• Create test methods for analytical instruments
• Detailed record keeping in a highly regulated R&D setting
• Execute method transfer and validation protocols
• Prepare necessary reporting

Qualifications for the Analytical Chemist:

• 0 to 2 years of experience in a regulated industry environment (ie Pharma, Cosmetics, Consumer Goods, etc)
• Industry experience focusing on use of the HPLC and GC instruments
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with others
• Experience in a fast paced GMP/FDA environment
• A hands-on approach to solving problems
• The ability to work in a contract role in the US for any employer

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry is required
