Our clients is a well-known contemporary brand is looking for an Assistant Inventory Planner (Fashion) who is numbers-driven with great analytical skills to join their planning team at the assistant or associate level.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$65k – $80k DOE

Position Overview:

The Assistant Inventory Planner (Fashion) will support and drive the domestic wholesale business through pre-season planning, in-season forecasting, inventory and OTB management, and insightful analysis in order to maximize sales and optimize inventory.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Inventory Planner (Fashion):

  • Produce, distribute, and analyze weekly, monthly, and seasonal reporting
  • Partner with the Wholesale team to develop scenarios, identify new opportunities, minimize liabilities, and propose creative ideas to drive sales while maintaining profitability
  • Develop a deep understanding of company systems and reporting processes, working collaboratively with IT and end users to identify areas of opportunity and unify cross-departmental reporting
  • Develop daily location plans based on monthly targets and marketing calendars
  • Contribute to the maintenance and development of department reporting and analysis tools, including but not limited to, weekly account performance, shipping projections, delivery selling, and market prep analysis
  • Compile data from multiple sources to maintain standards and create ad-hoc reporting and analysis

Qualifications of the Assistant Inventory Planner (Fashion):

  • 2+ years of experience in planning, buying, allocation, or wholesale
  • Excel experience, retail math acumen, and desire to learn
  • Strong communication, analytical, time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to quickly shift priorities, collaborate well with other departments, and take initiative

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
