Our client is the state’s largest anti-hunger and anti-poverty organization, is set to launch several projects for which a Assistant Project Manager will take charge of designing and implementing.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$20 – $23/hr

Position Overview:

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting project managers with several different projects. The Assistant Project Manager will provide support for project design, implementation, and rollout.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Project Manager:

  • Participating in project design meetings and proposing improvements as needed
  • Quickly responding to urgent matters, evaluating potential problems, providing solutions and dispatching team members or authorized vendors as needed
  • Planning and managing team goals, project schedules and new information
  • Assigning tasks to cross-functional team members and assisting with scheduling
  • Supervising and monitoring current projects and coordinating with team members
  • Maintaining project-related documents
  • Directing project correspondence by preparing and reviewing project proposals, briefings, meeting minutes and emails
  • Adhering to budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures

Qualifications for the Assistant Project Manager:

  • Two years minimum assisting with project management or similar role, preferably at marketing, communications, non-profit or manufacturing company
  • Excellent data management skills
  • Strong and clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be organized, able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent detail and follow-up skills
  • Comfort working within a fast-paced environment is a must
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Reliable form of transportation as travel may be required

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
