Our client is a Property Management Company located in the heart of Boston, MA. Our client specializes in Residential real estate and owns properties across Massachusetts. With the recent acquisition of a new property, our client is looking to add an eager Assistant Property Manager to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$50,000 – $65,000

Position Overview:

The Assistant Property Manager will be responsible for assisting the Property Manager with the management of a portfolio comprised of about 200 residential units. The Assistant Property Manager will provide excellent customer service to residents by answering inquires via phone, in-person, or email. The chosen candidate will also be responsible for overseeing all of the daily activities of the portfolio including assisting with collections, maintenance, general office administration, and the enforcement of company policy.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Property Manager:

  • Conduct property site walk throughs ensuring that the properties are well maintained and are maintaining their curb appeal
  • Respond to telephone and email inquiries
  • Interview prospective residents, conduct site tours, and prepare the lease paperwork
  • Liaise with maintenance and ensure that all maintenance requests are completed in a timely fashion
  • Collect rent, complete monthly lease renewals, and facilitate the move -in/move-out process
  • Assist with any special projects as directed

Qualifications for the Assistant Property Manager:

  • 1-3 years of market rate, residential property management experience
  • Experience using Yardi, MRI, RentCafe or another similar system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
