Our client, an excellent business in the professional services industry located in Fort Washington, PA, is looking to hire a talented, computer-savvy Billing Representative to join their Accounting Team. Salary/Rate: $40K – $50K

Position Overview: The ideal candidate for the Billing Representative will be someone who is very computer-savvy, knows how to utilize MS Excel, PDF’s, Microsoft Outlook and has some exposure to ERP systems. Candidates must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet critical deadlines, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and is very detailed, organized, with a problem-solving mindset. The main function for this position will be billing and invoicing, but you will be exposed to other aspects of the accounting infrastructure, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Responsibilities of the Billing Representative:

  • Submit invoices into customer web portals, e-mail and mail promptly
  • Ensure ticket quantities are accurate, updated, and processed
  • Process daily and weekly billing records – responsible for next day billing buyback, critical accuracy and promptness is needed
  • Responsible for processing RMA’s, return merchandise authorization for returned customer products or orders to be re-billed
  • Review invoices for accuracy – update any changes accordingly
  • Issue credit memos
  • Work closely with management and appropriate departments to resolve payment/billing discrepancies
  • Perform billing services as assigned, including generating statements and preparing them to mail out receipts/invoices to customers
  • Provide customer service regarding process and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments
  • Customer account reconciliations
  • Work closely with management and supervisor for special ad-hoc projects

Qualifications for the Billing Representative:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Prior billing experience
  • Problem solver, organized and a self-starter
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Excel

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma OR (GED)
