Billing Specialist

Our client is a trucking transportation, brokerage, and packaging service based out of New Jersey and is looking for a Billing Specialist to join their Accounting team. This company is rapidly growing and looking for an individual who is motivated and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$40k – $45k

Position Overview:

The Billing Specialist will be responsible for creating invoices, issuing to them to vendors, and updating vendor files. This role will require an individual to work with Operations staff to obtain all required delivery documentation. The Billing Specialist will also have the duties in working with the Accounts Receivable team to research any short paid invoices and perform other A/R administrative duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Responsibilities of the Billing Specialist:

• Issue invoices to vendors (paper, email, and web portal)
• Confirm entered data from customer-required documentation
• Organize and categorize billing documents
• Respond to customer and employee inquires in a timely manner
• Update the vendor master file with contact information

Qualifications of the Billing Specialist:

• 1 – 2 years of experience in Billing is required
• Detail-oriented
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Office
• Strong organization skills
• Excellent customer service skills

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent experience
