Bookkeeper

Our client is seeking a temporary to permanent Bookkeeper to join our Accounting & Finance team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$22 – $28/hr

Position Overview:

As a Bookkeeper you will be responsible for performing month-end closing, account reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Furthermore, the Bookkeeper is responsible for a full cycle A/P, data entry, cash applications, coding, light journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.

Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper:

• Manage Accounts Payable
• Govern monthly accounting close
• Produce monthly reconciliations, financial statements, and all supporting documents
• Put subcontractor 1099’s, and any other IRS year-end requirements together
• Sustain monthly accounting close
• Keep sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
• Supplementary assignments when necessary
• Lead Accounts Receivable
• Uphold the general ledger
• Capable in credit card management and reconciliation
• File cash flow projections, as needed

Qualifications for the Bookkeeper:

• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Proven analytical skills – defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions
• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong organization skills
• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience is required
• Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

Education Requirements:

• Associate’s degree is preferred
