Client Overview:
Our client, a well-established educational institution, is seeking a Career Services Temp (Part-Time) to support their Career Services team. This Career Services Temp (Part-Time) position offers an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong administrative skills to contribute to student job placement efforts.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$19/hr – $20/hr
Position Overview:
The Career Services Temp (Part-Time) will provide key administrative and operational support to the Career Services team. This Career Services Temp (Part-Time) role focuses on record-keeping, communication, and coordination of job placement initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities of the Career Services Temp (Part-Time):
- The Career Services Temp (Part-Time) will maintain and update detailed records in the designated electronic system (e.g., CampusVue).
- Assist with correspondence, scheduling, and database management to support job placement efforts.
- Provide administrative support for events such as workshops, seminars, and graduation ceremonies.
- Act as a point of contact for inquiries, assisting students and employers as needed.
- Review and edit resumes, cover letters, and other employment-related documents.
- Conduct outreach to local employers to maintain job opportunity pipelines.
- Manage filing, calendars, and communication between departments.
Qualifications for the Career Services Temp (Part-Time):
- 1 – 3 years of administrative/Career Service Temp experience or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with database systems (e.g., CampusVue) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
