Our client, one of New Jersey’s largest non-profit is seeking an energetic and professional Child Nutrition Program Coordinator to join their Child Nutrition Program.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$24/hr

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate for the Child Nutrition Program Coordinator position will be someone who has the experience and ability to effectively plan and manage programs and projects to audiences in low-income communities and to lead excellent communication efforts between internal and external program partners.

Responsibilities of the Child Nutrition Program Coordinator:

  • Coordinating development, implementation, planning, and leading efforts of programs
  • Engaging with partners and participating in evaluating program components
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to provide quality and easily accessible services to program participants
  • Maintaining highly organized program information and records
  • Evaluating and improving program activities to guide program participation and expansion
  • Utilizing and interpreting program data to predict patterns and trends
  • Facilitating changes with the program site environment to support improvement in program processes and procedures
  • Representing the nonprofit and nutrition programs at community meetings, coalitions, and/ or state events and conferences as related to the position

Qualifications of the Child Nutrition Program Coordinator:

  • Bilingual language skills (English and Spanish/Creole/Bengali) is a plus
  • Ability to have a varied work schedule that includes nights and weekends to meet the scheduling needs of partnering organizations and schools
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation
  • Technical aptitude (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is essential for success, along with a positive, can-do attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a high degree of self-motivation.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field is preferred
