The Children’s Technical Designer position is with one of the industry’s leading children’s apparel company for both boys and girl’s apparel. They have been creating branded, private label, and licensed product for major retailers for the past 45 years.

Salary/Rate: $70K – $90K DOE

Position Overview: The Children’s Technical Designer will be responsible for protecting the product integrity through fit continuity, constructions standards, and continuity.

Responsibilities of the Children’s Technical Designer:

  • Work cross-functionally with Design and Development Teams
  • Manage fittings and comments
  • Communicate with overseas factories
  • Assist with pattern-making when necessary
  • Make pattern corrections
  • Manage TOP approvals

Qualifications for the Children’s Technical Designer:

  • 3-7 years of experience in Children’s Technical Design
  • Strong Communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of cut & sew knit and woven fabrications
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Excel
  • Experienced in Browzwear or Digital Pattern-making system

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
