This company is proud to have been contributing to customers’ success for more than 50 years. They are now looking to hire a Continuous Improvement Manager.

Salary/Rate: $95,000 annually

Position Overview: The Continuous Improvement Manager will be responsible for leading plant continuous improvement and quality assurance efforts. They will manage day to day quality assurance responsibilities to ensure continuous production of product and applications consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals. They will also supervise a team of Quality Assurance Technicians & Engineers and maintain all QMS procedures and work instructions relative to quality assurance.

Responsibilities of the Continuous Improvement Manager:

  • Responsible to identify and drive internal continuous improvement efforts. Coaches/ trains internal stakeholders on best practices, process mapping, waste elimination using LEAN Six Sigma/ A3 methodology
  • Develop and maintain short- and long-term continuous improvement strategy, act as change agent for continuous improvement throughout the plant
  • Manages the interal quality team
  • Improve reliability of new product development processes to ensure quality product delivery to customer
  • Guarantees customer quality expectations, monitors KPI such as EBB, Customer satisfaction ratings
  • Guarantees internal quality controls are implemented and monitored for all operations with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Guarantees supplier compliance to quality standards
  • Guarantees all operations employees are effectively trained according to quality system standards
  • Guarantees effective launches of new products
  • Support production teams in process improvement if needed

Qualifications for the Continuous Improvement Manager:

  • Min 5 years’ experience in quality management and quality management systems/ use of quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, ROOT cause analysis, 5S, other lean six sigma methodologies
  • Statistical analysis background is a must
  • Demonstrated ability to drive team problem solving based on data and use of statistical analysis
  • Strong knowledge of calibration and metrology
  • Experience implementing quality systems in a high volume, complex product, manufacturing environment
  • Experience deploying and maintaining certification in ISO
  • Experience in plastic molding, assembly of complex products a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple/competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in quality, engineering, or other technical discipline
