Our client, one of the nation’s premier independent multispecialty medical groups is seeking a CT Technologist to join their practice! Our client has over 300 locations, with approximately 10,000 employees, and is committed to providing the best possible care to every patient in every neighborhood.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$40 – $45/hr dependent on experience
Position Overview:
The CT Technologist will be responsible for adhering to radiation safety, coordinating with the radiologist, reviewing and evaluating computer generated information to ensure it will suffice for a diagnostic. Our client is seeking a CT Technologist who is available: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5pm, with flexibility to work weekends.
Responsibilities of the CT Technologist:
- Ordering examinations of appropriate anatomical regions and determining if images are satisfactory for diagnostic
- Ensuring patients are comfortable, but also safe after FDG injection
- Coordinating with the Radiologist, and administering contrast agents and/or radiopharmaceuticals according to protocol
- Explaining the procedure to the patients and signing the patient screening form
- Performing equipment quality checks and troubleshooting problems
- Obtaining a clean environment in the control, hot lab, scan room, dressing rooms, and stock rooms
- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
- Adhering to radiation safety and complying with all safety policies
- Prior to patient use, performing Hot Lab and Scanner QA
- Preparing radiopharmaceutical in accordance with State regulatory agencies
- Following WMG policies and regulations
Qualifications for the CT Technologist:
- CPR certification
- Must be able to perform injections
- Must be able to interact with client personnel in a professional and ethical manner
Education Requirements:
- New York Radiographer and Nuclear License
- NMCTB certification
- ARRT certification with CT modality
