Our client is a consumer goods brand that has presence in over 170 countries. They are constantly expanding and are looking to add a Customer Service Specialist to their growing team. Specializing in confectionary goods, the company works to provide excellent service to their consumers.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$22 – $25/hr Dependent on experience

Position Overview:

The Customer Service Specialist will be responsible for supporting the order processing cycle while cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with clients. The ideal Customer Service Specialist will have the ability to individually problem-solve and be able to cultivate excellent internal working relationships. The ideal candidate should be an expert in the software SAP.

Responsibilities of the Customer Service Specialist:

  • Support the order processing cycle: obtaining receipts of purchase orders, confirming inventory/delivery dates, following up with all parties involved (Sales, Brokers, Marketing, Finance, Supply chain, Warehouses, Carriers, and Customers)
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure order processing cycle is complete
  • Deal with customer orders from start to finish and ensure a smooth and swift experience
  • Use SAP to input orders and manage order processing cycle from PO receipt to final delivery; manage returns, credits, claims
  • Manage shipping times, delivery, fill rates
  • Deal with customer queries while also constantly reworking and improving the process
  • Support EDI interfaces with customer
  • Responsible for communicating any issues to internal and external personnel

Qualifications for the Customer Service Specialist:

  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, and technical skills
  • 3+ years of experience in a Customer Service role
  • Experience with using the software SAP is highly preferred
  • Ability to use ATPVMI and EDI software
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot tables)
  • Comprehensive understanding of supply chain / warehouse / sales best practices

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
