Position Summary:
Responsibilities of the Director of Technical Operations:
- Build and oversee NOC and SOC teams to ensure 24/7 operational coverage.
- Evaluate and decide whether NOC and SOC functions will operate as a single team or separate specialized teams.
- Staff teams to ensure coverage using a 1.5x redundancy multiplier:
- 16/7 Coverage: Approximately 5 team members.
- 24/7 Coverage: Approximately 6-7 team members per team.
- If split, each specialized team may start with 5 members.
- Oversee additional technical operations areas, including:
- Helpdesk support.
- Technical facilities support (LAN/WAN).
- Other site operations as required to maintain functionality.
- Provide at least dotted-line leadership for these expanded responsibilities.
- Act as the local technical operations leader based in Albany.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and maintain on-site technical infrastructure.
- Supervise shift-based teams with 24/7 coverage.
- Ensure adequate staffing, training, and operational efficiency of the NOC/SOC teams.
Qualifications: of the Director of Technical Operations:
- 7-10 of IT operations management experience with managing a 24/7 team, support an online, customer facing application infrastructure.
- Strong Cloud experience. (Azure / AWS / GCP)
- This role will require strong leadership skills, technical expertise in NOC/SOC operations, and the ability to oversee broad technical support functions across an expanding scope.
- Must have some prior healthcare or pharmaceutical background.
- Prior experience with setting up and managing a call center, NOC, SOC environment.

- Bachelor’s Degree.
