Our client is a large multi-billion dollar manufacturer looking to add a Division Controller to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$150k – $170k plus Bonus

Position Overview:

The Division Controller directs the Division’s accounting functions, manages company assets and working capital, and measures division performance to meet or exceed company and division objectives.

Responsibilities of the Division Controller:

  • Plans and directs the Divisions’ accounting functions to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and to meet company and division performance objectives.
  • Directs and conducts various special projects and feasibility studies for new products, new customers, or business opportunities to meet corporate strategic objectives.
  • Oversees periodic financial reporting to ensure timely, accurate, and thorough information for division and corporate management on working capital and capital spending, and to protect company assets.
  • Develops and disseminates the annual business plan to establish performance objectives and comply with corporate guidelines.
  • Directs or performs a variety of financial or accounting activities (budget preparation, sales data, costs, audits, etc.) to meet specific Division operating requirements.
  • Interacts with Information Services to represent the Division and to collaborate on the implementation of new applications.
  • Adheres to food safety, quality, and legal compliance. In the event of a crisis (i.e. product recall, fire, etc.) delegate responsibilities as outlined in the Crisis Communications and Management Guide.
  • Adheres to safety, health, and environmental standards of the facility.
  • Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications for the Division Controller:

  • 3+ years in a management capacity.
  • 5+ years in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong process improvement experience.
  • Strong Excel and ERP experience.
  • Proven experience with improving business processes.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • CPA is highly preferred.
