Their platform simplifies the complexity of delivering personalized portfolios at scale, with tools that automate operational workflows, uncover client values, deliver engaging reporting, and create more impactful client interactions. They are now seeking an Engineering Lead (Portfolio Management).
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$175k – $195k
Position Overview:
As a member of the Software Engineering team, the Engineering Lead (Portfolio Management) will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining software components that support the portfolio management functions of the business. This role collaborates closely with experienced engineers, product managers, the portfolio management team, and external vendors to meet the growing demands of increasingly complex operations. The Engineering Lead will work with modern technology paradigms on Google Cloud, including modular architecture, functional programming, and reactive applications.
Responsibilities of the Engineering Lead (Portfolio Management):
- Design, develop, and deliver modules for the proprietary portfolio management system, including portfolio construction and workflow management.
- Model business data into the appropriate data store.
- Add automations to the infrastructure to improve efficiency.
- Assist in maintaining and improving existing software applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Required Experience/Skills for the Engineering Lead (Portfolio Management):
- 5 years of experience in software engineering.
- Recent and extensive experience in Java.
- Strong quantitative (quant) background.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Engineering Lead (Portfolio Management):
- Enterprise financial services background is a plus.
- Finance or portfolio management experience preferred.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
