Entry – Level Chemist

Our client operates worldwide and is a proven manufacturer supporting the pharmaceutical space. They are looking for an Entry – Level Chemist with little to no experience to join their ranks.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$19/hr – $21/hr. Up to $25/hr for those with industry experience

Position overview:

The Entry-level chemist will use analytical instrumentation to analyze raw materials and finished goods. The Entry – Level Chemist must have prior experience using instrumentation in the lab which can be academic. Work hours are Monday – Friday from 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.

Responsibilities of the Entry – Level Chemist:

• Conducts sampling, physical, chemical tests, and assays on raw materials, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and in-process and finished goods.
• Completes stability testing. Utilizes analytical instruments to perform daily functions on instruments such as HPLC, GC, Dissolution, Malvern, IR, Auto Titrator, UV Spectrophotometer, Dissolution, Karl Fisher (KF), Potentiometer, etc.
• Responsible for the maintenance and calibration of instruments/equipment.
• Maintains proper documentation of analyses and procedures performed in the lab.
• Adheres to cGMP requirements, internal procedures, and compendia standards.
• Responsible for safe disposal of chemical waste and strict compliance with regulations/policies.
• Writes and reviews SOPs, test procedures, and protocols.
• Informs the Manager promptly of any potential mishaps or nonconforming data.
• Creates an efficient work schedule that ensures tasks are completed on time.

Qualifications of the Entry – Level Chemist:

• Six months of experience in a GMP chemistry lab required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and LIMS will be taken into consideration.
• Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (booster shot not required).

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field. Open to candidates without a bachelor’s if they have sufficient industry experience.
