Our client is an entertainment nonprofit organization in the educational space based in Essex County, NJ that was launched almost 20 years ago. They are looking for a systems-driven Executive Assistant to join their team and provide executive support to the CEO and Founder of this creative company.

Salary/Hourly Rate: $70,000

Position Overview: The Executive Assistant will be exclusively supporting the CEO of the company with his day-to-day and ensuring the efficiency of his schedule by enabling him to be the most productive with his work.  They will be based in Essex County, NJ and will be the type of candidate that can set up, maintain and manage systems and bring ideas to the table in an effort to constantly improve processes currently in place.  The Executive Assistant will be the first point of contact and must possess strong communication skills in addition to an understanding of urgency.

Responsibilities of the Executive Assistant:

  • Provide executive support to the CEO
  • Maintain CEO’s ever-changing schedule while proactively anticipating his needs
  • Create and implement systems to maintain efficiency
  • Manage communication with external contacts on behalf of the CEO
  • Travel arrangements
  • Expense report submissions
  • General administrative support

Qualifications for the Executive Assistant:

  • 5+ years of executive support; ideally out of a larger company supporting a high-level exec
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience with heavy calendar management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to anticipate needs and work proactively
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Passion for nonprofit sector

Education Requirements:

  • College Degree required
