Our client, a growing regional engineering firm, is currently seeking a Field Surveyor to join the team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$40k – $50k Depending on experience

Position Overview:

The Field Surveyor is responsible for technical field survey services related to assigned projects.

Responsibilities of the Field Surveyor:

  • Meet with Project Managers to determine survey needs
  • Perform boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout surveys in the field
  • Calculate a wide variety of survey data
  • Participate in the preparation of computer-generated maps and reports based on survey data
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation including field notes
  • Coordinate work activities internally to provide seamless client service

Qualifications of the Field Surveyor:

  • Minimum of 2 years of survey-related experience is desired
  • Computer skills with Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and Microsoft Office are a plus
  • Skill in operating all survey instruments specifically and including Trimble GPS, Robotic Total Stations, Trimble data collectors, and automatic levels
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to perform moderate lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time and working in all types of weather conditions outdoors
  • Ability to perform fundamental trigonometry and geometry computations

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma is required
