Our client, a growing financial services and investment company is seeking a Financial Java Developer to join their team!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$140,000 – $150,000 plus bonus

Position Overview:

The Financial Java Developer will be responsible for developing highly transactional financial applications. The Financial Java Developer will be involved with designing, implementing, testing and maintaining the business applications for the company. This is a Direct Hire role, not C2C. This person will be on a rotational schedule with other developers and will be required to be onsite for a one-week span every 2 months. Must be in the tri-state area.

Responsibilities of the Financial Java Developer:

  • Develop, enhance, and support microservices-based applications utilizing Java
  • Develop and enhance applications using SQL Server databases – design, create and modify tables, relationships, indexes, stored procedures, and triggers
  • Design and conduct unit testing, systems integration testing and regression testing
  • Write technical and/or design documentation
  • Provide accurate estimates for the application development team’s requirements analysis, solutions design, development, and testing efforts
  • Adhere to the corporate SDLC policies
  • Assist the software team monitoring and responding to support issues

Qualifications for the Financial Java Developer:

  • 5+ years of experience in java software development
  • Financial industry experience required
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a W2
  • Experience coding using Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, webservices, RESTful, JSON, webhooks, HTML, JavaScript
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in writing stored procedures & queries
  • Experience developing applications using microservices architectures
  • Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, Camel, React, and Angular is a plus
  • Familiar with CI/CD tools and best practices

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field is required
