Our client is an independent registered investment advisory firm with securities transactions. They are currently seeking a Financial Planning & Investment Research Associate to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$85k + incentives

Position Overview:

The Financial Planning & Investment Research Associate will retrieve financial, investment and insurance research and analysis to produce detailed investment reviews, recommendations, and presentations among other responsibilities. The ideal candidate is an extremely detailed professional who likes to jump in and get the job done. You are full of energy, hardworking, and resourceful given some direction you can run with a project and facilitate finding the answers yourself. The ideal candidate should have an easy-going, flexible, “can-do” attitude. You desire to be an integral part of a rapidly-growing and professional team and know you can make a valuable contribution. You are sharp and tenacious when it comes to follow through, and details rarely slip through your grasp.

Responsibilities of the Financial Planning & Investment Research Associate:

  • Support a growing practice with dynamic Wealth Advisor.
  • Perform business development activities and be comfortable with the phone.
  • Team with the Advisor and Marketing Admin to plan presentations and other marketing events.
  • Contribute your knowledge, expertise, and insight to help the practice grow.
  • Manage the portfolio center.
  • Proactively monitor client accounts and maintenance of new accounts.
  • Evaluate investment portfolio allocations and place trades.
  • Operate as part of a cross-functional team in order to further ongoing growth initiatives.
  • Ad-hoc reports and tasks including updating investment spreadsheets and client investment schedules.
  • Support team by preparing, maintaining, and evaluating comprehensive financial plans/profiles.
  • Review client information, including financial statements, risk investment profile, and cash availability.
  • Follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when serving clients and prospects and performing all work-related activities.

Qualifications of the Financial Planning & Investment Research Associate:

  • Financial industry experience.
  • Have a passion for wealth management and financial planning.
  • Strong business ethics and unwavering integrity.
  • Strong customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong math, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Being proactive and demonstrating a willingness to learn.
  • Self- motivated and enjoy working independently, while simultaneously being a part of a dynamic team.
  • Basic understanding of investment and financial planning strategies.
  • Basic understanding of investment and financial planning strategies.
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with eMoney/MoneyguidePro, and Schwab Portfolio Center.
  • Experience with investment research platforms such as Morningstar, YCharts, Charles Schwab Research, Goldman Sachs Research, and UBS Research.
  • CRM Experience. (i.e. Salesforce, Redtail, Bill Good).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
