Flavor Lab Technician

Our client is an established flavor and fragrance company looking to add a Flavor Lab Technician to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$55k – $65k 

Position Overview:

The Flavor Lab Technician will formulate products, conduct experiments, and assist in testing samples. The Flavor Lab Technician should be adaptable and eager to learn and grow in the flavor industry.

Responsibilities of the Flavor Lab Technician:

• The Flavor Lab Technician will formulate flavor products using established procedures.
• Create batches of products.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment and instrumentation.
• Perform sensory evaluation of products which could include tasting samples.
• The Flavor Lab Technician will maintain accurate test results and lab data.
• Follow all SOPs and company regulations.
• Present results to team and leadership.

Required Experience/Skills for the Flavor Lab Technician:

• Knowledge of basic lab equipment.
• Passion for flavors and fragrances.
• The Flavor Lab Technician should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Ability to work well individually as well as in a team environment.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Flavor Lab Technician:

• 6 months to 2 years of experience as a Lab Technician in flavors or fragrances.
• Prior academic chemistry or food science experience is preferred.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemistry, or related science is preferred.
