Freelance Associate Sourcing Manager

Our client, a well-known contemporary fashion brand, is looking for a Freelance Associate Sourcing Manager to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$28/hr

Position Overview:

The Freelance Associate Sourcing Manager will assist and assure efficiency and consistency in the execution of all product development and sourcing activities.

Responsibilities of the Freelance Associate Sourcing Manager:

• Review/ensure tech pack accuracy for SMS and bulk production
• Work with the Supervisor on vendor strategy
• Work with the Production Assistant to verify style vendor allocation in systems
• Responsible for verifying and reporting costs to the business via XPC
• Partner with Customs Compliance & Legal to confirm duty classifications
• Lead weekly cross-functional WIP and product development meetings
• Track status and delivery of samples
• Engage in strategic initiatives for Supply and the business
• Attend/lead weekly escalation meetings with higher management
• Follow vendor strategy for each category/style
• Monitor the calendar and engage with cross-functional teams to ensure all key dates are met
• Understanding of product costs and being able to identify price distortions and engage cross-functional partners for solutions
• Assist the Manager for the development and approvals of trim & hardware

Qualifications of the Freelance Associate Sourcing Manager:

• 3 – 5 years of related experience in intimates sourcing, product development, and/or production
• Computer skills including full Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of or experience with PDM/PLM is helpful
• Top-notch follow-up skills are essential
• Proactive personality is needed
• Excellent communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills

Education Requirements:

• Associates and/or Bachelor’s degree is required
