Client Overview:

Our Manhattan-based client is seeking a temp Front Desk Associate to work with their growing team in an office support/receptionist role to assist with general office administrative duties. Prior office experience is required. This is a true temporary/contract position for 2 – 3 months in length.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$22/hr – $24/hr

Position Overview:

The Front Desk Associate will be the first point of contact to greet all visitors when they enter the office. This role will answer calls, support in-house events and meetings, and take on projects as necessary. The ideal candidate is professional with a warm and inviting demeanor and is eager, organized, and a fast learner with prior reception experience.

Responsibilities of the Front Desk Associate:

  • Answer a high volume of phone calls.
  • Greet all incoming visitors.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail for the office.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office.
  • Handle supply ordering and kitchen stocking.
  • Provide light scheduling, calendar management, data entry, and administrative support as needed.

Required Experience/Skills for the Front Desk Associate:

  • Prior experience in a professional setting such as office, customer service, or administrative support.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy with experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Google Docs/Sheets.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, personable, and a quick learner.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Front Desk Associate:

  • Familiarity with office equipment, scheduling, and facilities coordination.
  • Experience supporting administrative professionals.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
