Their team comprises passionate individuals committed to making a positive impact and driving our mission forward. Currently, they are looking to add a Fundraising Event Manager to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$40/hr – $45/hr

Position Overview:

The Fundraising Event Manager will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing fundraising events that align with our organization’s goals and objectives. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who can manage all aspects of event coordination, from initial planning to post-event analysis.

Responsibilities of the Fundraising Event Manager: 

  • Event Planning and Management:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive event plans for fundraising activities, including galas, auctions, charity runs, and other special events.
    • Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and transportation.
    • Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximizing return on investment.
  • Fundraising Strategy:
    • Collaborate with the development team to create innovative fundraising strategies and set achievable financial targets for each event.
    • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential sponsors, donors, and partners to secure financial and in-kind support for events.
  • Marketing and Promotion:
    • Develop and execute marketing and promotional plans to increase event attendance and engagement.
    • Utilize social media, email campaigns, and other marketing channels to promote events and drive ticket sales.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
    • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including volunteers, vendors, and sponsors, to ensure seamless event execution.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all event-related inquiries and communications.
  • Post-Event Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough post-event evaluations to assess the success of each event and identify areas for improvement.
    • Prepare detailed reports on event outcomes, including financial performance and attendee feedback.

Required Experience/Skills for the Fundraising Event Manager: 

  • Experience planning and organizing fundraising events.
  • Proven project management and strategic event planning skills.
  • Experience working with stakeholders and donor committee members.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Fundraising Event Manager: 

  • Experience in event planning and fundraising.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale fundraising events.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in event management software and fundraising platforms.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
