Client Overview:

Our client is a private label company that needs a Girl’s Technical Designer for temp to perm. They are dedicated to delivering high-quality, innovative products that reflect the essence of their clients’ brands.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$35/hr – $40/hr while Temp (depending on experience), $90k – $110k after conversion

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Girl’s Technical Designer to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will work on Girl’s Technical Design and will play a crucial role in the technical design process, ensuring that the products meet high standards of quality, functionality, and design specifications.

Responsibilities of the Girl’s Technical Designer:

  • Collaborate with Design and Product Development teams to interpret design concepts into technical drawings and specifications.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical packages, including tech packs, CADs, and BOMs.
  • Conduct fittings, evaluate garment samples, and provide feedback for adjustments to ensure design intent, fit, and quality standards are met.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Designers, Product Developers, and manufacturers, to resolve technical issues and ensure product integrity.
  • Participate in identifying and implementing process improvements and best practices within the technical design workflow.

Qualifications for the Girl’s Technical Designer:

  • Must be open to work on children’s/girls’ or infant toddlers.
  • Proven experience in technical design within the private label and licensing industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, Adobe Creative Suite, and PLM systems.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
  • Detail-oriented mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field is required.
