Global Controller

Our client, a global fashion and design brand is seeking an experience and strategic-minded Global Controller to oversee and manage all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and analysis on a global scale.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

Up to $210,000 + bonus

Position Overview:

The ideal Global Controller candidate will be responsible for ensuring financial integrity, accuracy, and compliance across multiple entities and regions.

Responsibilities of the Global Controller:

• Financial Oversight: Oversee the financial operations of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations across all locations
• Consolidated Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements and reports for the entire global organization. Provide accurate and timely financial information to executive management and stakeholders
• Internal Controls and Compliance: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. Monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures across all regions
• Treasury Management: Manage global cash flow, banking relationships, and foreign currency risk exposure. Develop strategies to optimize cash management and working capital efficiency
• Tax Strategy and Compliance: Collaborate with tax advisors and local teams to develop and implement tax strategies. Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations in all jurisdictions
• Financial Analysis and Strategy: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identify key financial drivers, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management for decision-making and growth initiatives
• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the global finance team. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department

Qualifications for the Global Controller:

• Experience in the Fashion/Luxury Retail/Apparel Industries
• Strong understanding of international accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Proven experience in managing complex financial structures and working in a multinational environment
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
