They continue to expand and are excited to welcome ambitious and a talented Global Inventory Manager to join their organization.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$120,000 – $130,000
Position Overview:
The Global Inventory Manager is responsible for developing and executing our Global Inventory Strategy. The ideal candidate specializes in coordinating an optimized inventory process to sustain our growing delivery demand. The Global Inventory Manager will maximize the inventory accuracy and increasing performance via proactive process improvements. The perfect individual for this role must possess interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams including Segment Management, Commercial Leaders, Supply Chain Operations, and Finance to ensure inventory objectives are accurately achieved.
Responsibilities of the Global Inventory Manager:
- Manages and executes the planning, establishment, and fulfillment through inventory targets, turns and value within each entity across the business
- Manages the finished goods stocked globally in warehouses, distribution centers, and consignment locations, to including driving the weekly sales units inventory management
- Identifies, develops, and implements best inventory processes for inventory and supply planning helping monetize overall supply chain value
- Collaborates with IT and other resources to define and guide ERP utilization to create data linkages supporting Supply Chain Analytics and daily demand-based actions
- Designs stock optimization models, EOQ analysis models, and classification analysis to support on time delivery and achieve net working capital improvement objectives
- Present monthly operating reviews, daily/weekly visual management, and communicate with all levels within the organization including stakeholders and management
- Champions the expanded use of technology and lean principles to improve planning, decision making, and execution
- Support the use of the ERP system for inventory management principles and design implementation of Kanban where needed or required to optimize inventory and delivery performance
- Manages inventory implications from new product introduction and product life cycle management together with cross-functional teams through proactive action to minimize and disposition slow/obsolete finished goods inventory
- Collaborates with finance, business lines, and production teams to determine optimal solutions and inventory write off(s) requirements
Qualifications for the Global Inventory Manager:
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a progressive Supply Chain roles
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain Operations, Planning and/or Inventory Management
- APICS Certified a plus
- Ability to influence and lead indirectly
- An understanding of the application and concepts of Production and Planning Control fundamentals including MRP, Inventory Management, Supply & Demand, Logistics, Procurement, Capacity Planning, Scheduling, and Lean Manufacturing
- Ability to work in high visibility/face-paced environment solving of complex issues and managing ambiguity by distilling relevant information into simple messages
- Self-motivated and proactive problem solver with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
- Project Management experience
- Data Analytics experience
- Kanban/Lean Training
- ERP Planning and Implementation Knowledge
- Power BI or similar
- Must be able to travel on occasion and interact with multiple sites. Travel up to 50%
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering disciplines is preferred
