Our client is a hospital network focused on the health and safety of its employees and patients and they are currently seeking a Health and Safety Manager.

Salary/Rate:  DOE

Position Overview:
  The Health and Safety Manager will create, implement, and maintain a safety program that complies with all federal, state, and local safety requirements.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager:

  • The responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include:
  • Develop safety requirements and keep records of required actions
  • Maintain a record of all federal and state government required actions
  • Promote a safe workplace by developing a safety program including systems, policies, and procedures
  • Train managers and employees on all safety programs
  • Ensure that all hospitals are free of health and safety concerns by conducting inspections, etc.
  • Adjust the safety program to ensure that is complies with updated regulations
  • Enforce regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications for the Health and Safety Manager:

  • The qualifications for the Healthy and Safety Manager are as follows:
  • Associates degree required, Bachelor’s preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in occupational safety, OSHA compliance, including experience with: State DEP regulations, Regulated Medical Waste, NRC, and safety training documentation
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret written material such as technical information
  • Ability to conduct tests and inspections
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Travel up to 50% of the time nationwide
