A reputable, growing non-profit is looking to hire an HR Analyst. The role will be remote initially but will eventually be onsite in either NYC or DC.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$35-45/hr | $75-95k

Position Overview:

Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Analyst will use data from various systems to develop reports and provide data insight with a focus on data analysis, interpretation and problem solving that identifies organizational trends. HR Analyst will use tools to interpret data that allows the organization to make informed decisions, drive productivity and improve efficiencies. This position also provides support of Human Resources related systems and relative interfaces that includes but is not limited to researching and resolving matters while monitoring data to ensure compliance, quality, and accuracy. The HR Analyst assists in executing process improvements, system enhancements and new technologies through data analysis and supporting a best practice approach.

Responsibilities:

  • HR Analyst is responsible for collecting and compiling HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS), management and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors’ practices, and other sources
  • Serves as the “go to” person for all HR data requests and reports for HR staff and senior management, in partnership with external HRIS/Payroll partner
  • Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Analyzes, designs, and builds new custom reports
  • Prepares reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings
  • Participates in compensation projects by researching, preparing, and responding to salary surveys
  • Supports year-end merit increase and bonus process, collecting data and following up with managers as needed
  • May conduct or assist with conducting classification audits to ensure that jobs are properly classified as exempt or nonexempt
  • Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices
  • Documents processes for HR systems and create user guidelines
  • Trains system users and employees on processes and functionality
  • Supports regulatory reporting requirements such as Affirmative Actions, government census, etc
  • Maintains HR data integrity by regularly auditing the accuracy and consistency of input data

Qualifications:

  • Must have experience with at least one implementation
  • At least five years’ experience navigating and reporting data from HR systems and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Exceptional analytical skills with focus on data analysis, interpretation and problem solving
  • Experience with Ceridian platform strongly preferred; previous experience with HRPyramid and iCIMS a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office, to include: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint
  • Excellent oral, written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach to work
  • Must be comfortable working with staff at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills and the ability to maintain a team-focused attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information and difficult situations
