Our client, a family owned and customer service transportation organization dedicated to providing reliability and value. They are seeking a HR Generalist to join their fast growing dynamic team!
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$60,000
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a HR Generalist, to assist the Sr. Human Resources Manager and HR Generalists with various tasks such as recruiting new talent, overseeing onboarding, workers compensation, reporting, filing, and administrative tasks. The HR Generalist will manage candidate pool to ensure candidate are engaged in current and future job openings, while updating job postings.
Responsibilities of the HR Generalist:
- Assist with screening candidates, including screening calling, assessments, and in-person interviews
- Source candidates through various platforms such as professional networks and social media
- Support with employee inquiries, providing exceptional customer service in all interactions
- Process new hires and terminations
- Responsible for onboarding new hires and new hire orientation
- Handles confidential materials, including documents and information requests
- Administer and submit all hiring paperwork for new employees
- Support monthly reports on key metrics
- Knowledge of Workers Comp, FMLA, Benefits
- Serve as backup to generalists as needed
- Perform various projects, tasks or duties as needed/assigned
Qualifications for the HR Generalist:
- Bilingual
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
- Strong knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft are required
- Experience sourcing candidates and supporting recruitment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality/discretion in all workplace and HR matters
- Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience is required
- Knowledge of FMLA and Workmen’s Compensation
Education Requirements:
- Bachelors’ degree or Associates degree in related discipline is preferred
- SHRM HR Certification is preferred
